Then join us exploring the layers of contact & spiral points of this unique partnered movement practice of Argentine Tango.

We will explore the dynamics of changing Roles. You will be invited to explore dancing both roles (approx 50% of the time) which builds our capacities of compassion & empathy.
This is a Queer friendly space.
Argentine tango in it’s simple essence is walking in an embrace with another human being to beautiful poetry, set to music from the turn of the last century. It is one of the oldest forms of social dancing in the world.
This weekend will introduce you some of the the FUN – damentals of movement & connection of Argentinian Tango.
It is an “apperitivo-sized portion” of the basic vocabulary and grammar of this beautiful dance language. You will be invited to try out your newly acquired skills with other human beings using your body.
We also learn to tango to tell each other our beautiful stories.

Sofia Saborido
With 30 years of experience Sofía Saborido has danced tango almost all her life. Great grand daughter of the legendary composer and musician Enrique Saborido, Sofia started dancing aged 10 and teaching when she was only 15. Since then, she has travelled to more than 30 countries around the world, teaching Tango.
She has collaborated with El Indio Benavente, Carlos Espinoza, Andres Sautel and, for the past ten years with Pablo Inza.
Her goal is to help dancers develop awareness and comfort to become more “huggable” by training connection through improvisation.
